Please join us for a fun filled day of entertainment, as the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area kicks off its Fourth of July celebration! The day's activities will take place on the scenic Sunbury Square. The evening's festivities will take place at Big Walnut High School.
7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Antiques, Arts & Crafts Fair: Join us for the day on Sunbury's Square and enjoy perusing and purchasing unique antiques, hand-crafted arts and crafts from our diverse group participating vendors.

7:30 a.m. Big Walnut Freedom 5K Walk/Run (register here) sponsored by Ascent Roofing Solutions, Big Walnut Printing & Shipping, Donatos Pizza of Sunbury, MAGIC Health Benefits, Money Concepts Financial Planning Center, NorthStar Golf Club, Renick Orthodontics, Sunbury Ace Hardware, Sunbury Chiropractic Center, Sunbury Christian Church, Sunbury Grill, Table Rock Construction, The Law Office of Sean P. Registration begins for the 16th Annual Corey Lehman Memorial Scholarship Fund Volleyball Tournament.
9:00 a.m. 16th Annual Corey Lehman Memorial Scholarship Fund Volleyball Tournament at Big Walnut High School. For more details and to contact Janet Lehman's contact information (click here) Please also fill out the (waiver form) and (entry form) to register yourself for the tournament. $25 entry fee per person includes lunch. Lunch will be available to spectators for a donation to the Corey Lehman Memorial Scholarship Fund.
10:00 a.m. Star Spangled Banner Parade (click here for registration) (click here for liability waiver) Calling all Bikers (the younger variety!) Bikes & Trikes are encouraged to participate in the parade. Lineup will be at the corner of Columbus and Granville Streets. Please lineup by 9:15. Awards will be given in the following age groups: 3-5 year old, Kindergarten - 2nd grade, and 3rd - 5th grade. All entries will receive a medal. 1st place in each category will receive $20 and a trophy. 2nd place will receive $10 and a trophy. 3rd place will receive $5 and a trophy.
11:30 a.m. The Columbus Saints Drum & Bugle Corp will be performing on the Sunbury Square immediately following the parade - sponsored by the Sunbury Lions Club
11:30 a.m. Hot Dog Eating Contest on the Square to kick off the Community Cookout. This fun and entertaining contest is brought to the community by Wayne Miller and Eagle Auto Repair, who graciously is donating ALL of the hot dogs for this contest and for the Community Cookout! 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Community Cookout - enjoy a grilled hot dog, courtesy of Wayne Miller, Eagle Auto Repair and the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce
11:00-3:00 p.m. Fun Frolics & KidZone: More details will be posted soon of what great fun to expect!
11:30 a.m. Punt, Pass & Kick at JR Smith Park immediately following the parade, hosted by Big Walnut Youth Athletic Association. Football and cheerleading signups will be held until 2:00 p.m.
6:00 p.m. Evening Festivities begin at the Big Walnut High School. United by SHC will host kids activities for the evening!
