SUMMARY:Kaleidoscope -Monthly Make n Take
DESCRIPTION:A kaleidoscope's imagery evokes wonder. At this event children will make a kaleidoscope of their own from simple materials. A kaleidoscope's imagery evokes wonder. The word kaleidoscope comes from the Greek meaning "beautiful image viewer." It is a simple toy invented in 1816 by accident when Sir David Brewster experimented with polarization and refraction of light. Join us to make a simple cardboard kaleidoscope. Appropriate for all ages and abilities. Skills include cutting and glueing. An adult should remain with young children to assist with scissors. Cindy Kerr\, volunteer\, will be leading the activity. Any person wishing to make a kaleidoscope should register.
