Charlie Collins, The Definition of Relationship Building
 Charlie passionately believes in relationship building and due to his networking skills, the opportunity presented itself for Charlie to become a Broker for American General over 30 years ago. He obtained his Bachelors’ Degree in Finance from The Ohio State University and began his life-long career in the Insurance, Asset Protection and Risk Management Industry.  Throughout his vast career with American General he became a National Marketing Director and subsequently, an Agency Owner.  A strong desire to be independent and the drive to make things happen were the motivating factors behind the launch of Collins Financial Services in Columbus, Ohio, in 1985.
 
A giving nature is a trait that Charlie shares with every Association and Organization that he has committed his time and talents to, launching back to his fraternity days at Alpha Tau Omega.  Charlie has been the President of Columbus Life Underwriters Association, and a member of the Columbus Association of Health Underwriters and The Ohio State Presidents Club.  Because of the extreme value that Charlie places on networking and relationship building, Charlie was instrumental in founding the Grandview/Marble Cliff Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as being active for over ten years with the Gahanna Area Chamber of Commerce, where he currently serves as the Vice Chair of New Business Development. 
 
Along with two other Founders, Charlie Collins is devoted to helping other business owners grow and succeed through a referral-based networking group, Synergy National.  “I derive satisfaction from seeing businesses grow and watching businesses develop through the Synergy National organization,” shares Charlie.  “Helping others to accomplish goals and making a positive difference in someone’s life are valuable treasures that I find to be quite fulfilling.”
