'Tis the time of year to bring good cheer as the holidays role in!

Please join the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce and its members as we celebrate "CHRISTMAS ON THE SQUARE"!

EVENING ACTIVITIES

4:30 - Square businesses host Holiday Open Houses throughout the evening
5:00 - Lighted Christmas Parade Lineup takes place on Burrer Drive. All parade entries are encouraged to have lights on or throughout their display as the parade kicks off after dark, at 5:30 p.m. Parade entries will be taken up until the parade kicks off, but we encourage you to turn your entry in early so that the announcer has time to prepare a script!
5:30 - The night's festivities will kick off with a "lighted" parade.  Special performance during and after the parade by Columbus Saints Drum & Bugle Corp, sponsored by Bry-Air, Sunbury Lions Club and Vineyard Church of Delaware County! This year's parade will once again be announced by NBC4's Today Weekend Edition anchors Mindy Drayer and Harrison Hove!

At this year's Christmas on the Square parade we will be honoring Lenny Lepola from the Sunbury News for his involvement in our community and his dedication to memorializing "our today in tomorrow's paper." Thank you Lenny!

4:30-8:00
* Craft & Gift Fair in the meeting room of the Chamber office. Register early. Space is limited!
* Sunbury Lions Club hosting their Annual Christmas Tree Sale to benefit Big Walnut Friends Who Share
* BWFWS Food Drive - shopping carts provided by Kroger will be on all 4 corners of the Square

Following the parade:
* Donut Eating Contest! - Join us after the tree lighting at approximately 7:00pm on the Square for the first ever Christmas on the Square Donut Eating Contest sponsored and presented by Table Rock Construction! This contest will be held at just outside of Table Rock Construction and is open to the first 10 people to register. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and sign a liability waiver. * Ice Sculpting Competition from 6-8pm - 2015 marks the third annual Sunbury Championship Ice Sculpting Competition, featuring the artistic skills from Frost Lion Ice Plus, Silver Medal Winner at the 2015 BP World Ice Championships and People's Choice Winner at Ice Alaska 2015.
* Special performance by Columbus Saints Drum & Bugle Corp, sponsored by Bry-Air, Sunbury Lions Club and Vineyard Church of Delaware County
* Visit with Santa inside the Town Hall & decorate Christmas cookies with Sunbury Mayor Tommy Hatfield and his family
* Take a carriage ride around the Square with Wendy Carpenter and her beautiful team of horses
* Visit Square businesses that will be hosting individual Open Houses
* Join Mayor Hatfield and Village Administrator Allen Rothermel as they officially "light" the Village's Christmas Tree on the Square
* First Baptist Church will be hosting a Live Nativity as well as a Live Resurrection at the corner of Vernon and Granville Streets
* Enjoy dinner on the scenic Sunbury Square with these following food vendors: Dan's Deli, Happy Camper Coffee, Jet's Pizza, Fire Dogs Food Truck, Funnel Cake Station, Yumii Kettle Korn and more!
