As Shaffer Capital's Chief Investment Officer, Matt oversees the development and implementation of all financial strategies for each of the firm's individual and business clients. In his role as CEO, Matt is responsible for the creation and execution of our overall business strategy. From 1996 to 2009, Matt served as a Wealth Advisor and Investment Specialist at Morgan Stanley and later Smith Barney. In May 2009, Matt and his wife, Tricia, founded Shaffer Capital. Matt holds the Certified Financial Planner™ certification, the Series 65 license as well as a Life and Health insurance license in numerous states. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business degree, with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics, from Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio. In 2005, he graduated as class valedictorian from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University with a Master of Business Administration degree.
