Antiques/Arts & Crafts, etc. vendor fee $40 (this is not for food truck vendors). You must register online and fill out the vendor form, if problems call in 740-965-2860.

Join the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce, Big Walnut Civic Association and the City of Sunbury, for the 2023 July 4th Celebration!
All events take place on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. Lots of fun for the entire family! New attractions!

** PLEASE NOTE! WE WELCOME ANTIQUE / CRAFT VENDORS TO REGISTER!
* 8 am - 2 pm: Antiques, Arts & Crafts (you must register online (see registration button at top), option to pay online or mail in) on the Square sponsored by the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce! (See Below ( click here link below ) for Vendor Contract and Registration form 2023, you can either mail or email your form back to us) Fee: $40 per spot. Set up is 6:00am day of Event.

* 10:00 am: Independence Day Parade sponsored by the Big Walnut Civic Association! If you are interested in registering for the parade, please email bwcivic@gmail.com
* 11 am - 2 pm: Kid Zone on the Square sponsored by the Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce! New attractions this year including bounce houses & midway games for all ages. (CASH PAYMENT ONLY FOR KID ZONE)
* Kid Zone Fee $5 per kid with a family cap of $20, hand STAMP (at entry gate) will provide your kid(s) unlimited access to Kids Zone! * (CASH PAYMENT ONLY)
12:30 pm ish -- Hot Dog Eating Contest on the Square sponsored by Eagle Automotive and Wandle & Associates! Participants may register the day of the event on a first come, first serve basis at the gazebo on the square. You must be 18 years or older to enter, and sign a liability waiver & release before the contest begins. **WINNER WILL RECEIVE A CASH PRIZE - $100 for the winner, runner-up is $50.

You can sign up on our (see registration button at top) site OR call in to the Chamber and we will add you in for registration!
1) Pie Contest - approximately 12:45p ish, right after the hot dog contest at 12:30p. WIN THE BLUE RIBBON ! Judged on: Appearance, Taste, Consistency of filling. (see registration button at top). A table will be set up by the gazebo on the square.
2) Men in Heels race (see registration button at top) (You must be 18 years or older to enter, and sign a liability waiver & release before the contest begins) - this will happen right after parade. RUN FAST AND WIN THE BLUE RIBBON! (Please bring your own fitted heels) :-) - location = the start will be by the gazebo on the square.

* THE FUN CONTINUES AT OLD BIG WALNUT HIGH SCHOOL FROM 6PM - 11PM!
* At Dusk: Firework Extravaganza at the OLD Big Walnut High School sponsored by the Big Walnut Civic Association! Don't miss it!
** Plus delicious food provided by vendors at both locations!
