We work with both residential and commercial customers. Job Summary
This position supervises yard and warehouse operations. including loading designated product(s) into customers’ and service division staff’s vehicles while ensuring a safe, customer friendly experience. This role also includes inventory management, record keeping, and general maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify customer purchases and load merchandise through professional communication and highest level of customer service
- Collaborate with installation and maintenance crews to Load service division vehicles with required material
- Maintain yard and warehouse cleanliness, organization, and site safety in accordance with established policies and local, state and federal regulations
- Receive incoming vendor shipments and verify integrity of shipments
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Complete inventory inspections and provide recommendations for restocking
- Perform snow removal services during winter months
- Valid driver’s license with ability to pass insurance eligibility background check
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating heavy equipment like skid steer loader, mini excavator and backhoe loader
- Proficient in basic and technical equipment repair, maintenance procedures and standards.
- Must be able to work independently for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
- Self-motivated, dependable individual with strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Ability to use a computer or tablet for record keeping.
- Knowledge of landscape products and materials.
- Highly organized, neat individual.
- Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs frequently and heavier items occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting and reaching throughout the workday
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs and navigate uneven or sloped terrain safely
- Auditory ability to hear instructions, warnings and equipment alarms
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold and precipitation
- Primary working environment is outdoors in various weather conditions.
- 20%-40% of your time is spent in heavy equipment moving material or loading customers.
- 10-20% of your time is spent in a warehouse environment
