General Sales Manager

About this role:
As a General Manager, this person will build and lead a team of salespeople to grow the market share of PERRY proTECH and provide technology solutions to meet customer needs. This individual is responsible for overseeing daily operations for their local sales team, hiring and training staff, and motivating their team to create business opportunities for PERRY proTECH.
- Achieve growth, sales targets, and customer expectations by successfully managing a sales team
- Manage local sales activity and grow market share using customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Design and implement strategic sales plans for their team to follow that align with executive leadership's organizational goals and initiatives
- Identify emerging markets to discover new business opportunities
- Prepare and monitor sales budgets, projections, and targets
- Assist in closing appointments
- Act as a support between the sales department and other departments and executive management
- Hire, train, and guide a team of sales personnel
- Provide corrective action to sales personnel when necessary, including verbal and written warnings, ride days, and coaching
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients
- Resolve customer inquiries and concerns
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Advanced planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Strong decision-making skills and a persistent and results-driven attitude
- Ability to interpret sales department financial data and use as an analytic tool
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
- Ability to design and implement a successful sales strategy
- Extensive product knowledge and understanding of the business market

Requirements & Qualifications
- Background in sales, marketing, or business administration
- At least 5 years of sales experience
- Proven track record of successful sales performance by meeting or exceeding targets
- Experience in a leadership role
- Experience hiring, managing, and mentoring
- Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales
